Every year in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, nearly 600 children separated from their parents are looking for a family to take them in.
About the project
Even though many highly professional institutions exist, a family setting remains by far the most suitable environment for these children to thrive. Often confused with adoption, foster care still suffers today from a rather blurry public perception.
After rebranding the Federation of Foster Care Support Services, along with its new website familledaccueil.be, we created an event by setting up a rather special bedroom on the Place d’Armes in Namur. AMY’S ROOM – “Amy” as a code name for these children who set off in life with a little less luck than others.
